| 1. I am citizen of a country of the Asia Pacific region, but my country is not listed among the countries eligible to apply, can I still send application? |
| If your country is not among the countries listed, you do not qualify. |
| 2. I am from the Asia Pacific but I study outside the region. Can I apply? |
| It does not matter where you are studying (for academic fellowship) or working (for media fellowship) to be eligible as long as you are a citizen of an eligible country. |
| 3. What do I do if my research is in a country other than where my university is located? |
| It doesn't matter as long as you can provide us proof of citizenship of an eligible Asia Pacific country, you will qualify. |
| If you are a citizen of one of the eligible Asia Pacific countries, you are eligible. Additional citizenships does not matter. |
| You can find the minimum requirements of the proposal on this website but there is no prescribed format. |
| 6. Will there be consideration for late submissions? |
| Late submissions of application and proposals will not be considered in the current year. But you may apply next year. |
| 7. In the case of Academic Fellowships, what will happen if the endorsement from my Professor gets delayed for unforeseen reasons? |
| Applicants have to ensure that completed applications should have evidence of having been dispatched to us on or before the closing date for applications. In case your endorsement is being sent by your Professor separately, please mention in the application clearly. Further in such a case, your name should be clearly indicated on the cover that contains the Professor’s endorsement. |
| 8. How will my application be processed? |
| Once we get your application set, it will be considered for shortlisting. Shortlisted applications will then be assessed further by a Selection Committee/Advisory Panel. You may be required to participate in an interview/discussion. |
| 9. When will I be informed of the result? |
| Final results will be posted on www.undprcc.lk. Successful candidates will also be contacted. |
