Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, climate change, and the need for coordinated action are currently very high on the global agenda. Historically, climate change discussions and policies primarily focused on GHG emissions from industry, energy sector and chemicals but much less on the ‘green’ sources of GHG such as deforestation, agricultural practices, intensified animal husbandry, and peatswamp reclamation.
